School Bus Child's School Bus painted for the Children's Department of the Weeks Memorial Library in Lancaster. Hidden inside is "Liz." Come into the Library and see if you can find her! The Bus, Fire Truck and Puppet Theater were all built by Bruce Hutchings of Lancaster. Bruce also makes the furniture for my Home Accessories line and is willing to do custom work. The Mural, Bus and Theater were all made possible thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library. And a very special thank you to Katy & Elizabeth for being my "models." Thanks girls!

Sun & moon motif Faux finish technique (mottling with plastic wrap) done around an arched doorway.
The technique was faded into the background color. Several clusters of stars, the sun & the moon were added to liven it up.
This design was done to match tile that will be installed in the new kitchen.

Flowering Chair What can you do with an old chair that's lost it's seat? Plenty! How about using them as planters for cascading plants? Find a pot that will fit (this is a rounded plastic bowl shape) and fill with potting soil and, in this case, petunias. Lovely!

Leaf Floorcloth. Floorcloth painted on the back of vinyl flooring.
The beauty of this surface is the flexibility for shape, and the imperviousness to water.
I use one of these floorcloths on my hardwood floor, under my houseplants, to protect the wood from any spillage.
It works great!
Trompe L'oeil Table Trompe L'oeil design painted on a small side table.
The base of the table is mottled with various shades of green, while the diamond panels are stried with purple.

Garden Nightstand Various views of an old table I painted with a garden theme.
The inside of the table is mottled with taupe and the top and base are marbleized.

Horse and Barn Mural Murals of farm animals painted for a young boy who loves farm animals.
The barn is approximately 5' tall. The cow is peaking out from the door of the room. That's a switchplate under her chin. The pig at her feet is about 2 1/2' tall.
The background walls were painted by the family, with their son's help!
Cow and Pig Mural
Sheep More scenes from the farm murals. My intention for all these designs was to make the animals friendly.
Two sheep were painted all together, on separate walls. They are also approximately 2 1/2' tall.
The chickens were done at the little boy's request...he wanted a mama, a papa and two chicks because he was expecting a baby brother or sister!
These were done on an angled wall. The brown line is a beam that was exposed, so the chickens were painted as if they were roosting on the beam.

Mountain Lake TeePee Twenty foot TeePee at Mountain Lake Campground in Lancaster. The previous owner partially painted the design, with the sky, trees and Indian in a Canoe. I finished it off with the mountains and "river" running along the bottom.
Mountain Lake is a very nice, family oriented campground, and the teepee is available for rental.
