  • Thanks to all those who have helped Tributary Trails.
    If you do not see a person or group that should be
    publically thanked, please be patient since we are
    just setting up this page. However, a gentle reminder is
    always appreciated so please remind either Joe or Dale.
    We would like to mention everyone involved as a way to
    thank them, but also to create a historical archive
    about our community's participation.

   Council
  • Thanks to the North Country Council for all of the technical assistance, advice, and mentoring. The Council accepts and administers grants and donations for Tributary Trails.
   Grants
  • Tributary Trails has received a ten thousand dollar ($10,000) grant from Wal*Mart. The Tributary Trails program was recognized and adopted by Wal*Mart and their Community Coordinator as an organization that promotes environmental and economic health of the North Country and our great North Woods. This program will entail a stream water quality monitoring project, streamside clean-up days, and an inventory of sensitive, unique and impacted areas along the tributaries. The findings will result in a report that will give recommendations for minimizing the impact. The program will use volunteers from Wal*Mart, local community ecological organizations and those interested in preserving the environment.

  • YSI: Thanks for the donation of a YSI 85 Dissolved Oxygen, Conductivity, Salinity, and Temperature Instrument. The YSI 85 Instrument offers simultaneous dissolved oxygen, conductivity, salinity and temperature measurement. An automatic function verifies that the multiparameter meter is working accurately.

     

  • Oakton Instruments: Thanks for the donation of four portable, microprocessor-based pH meters. One Waterproof Double Junction pHTestr 1 meter, one Waterproof Double Junction pHTestr 2 meter, and two pHTestr 2 meters with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC). They have a Range of -1.0 to 15.0 pH and a resolution of 0.1 pH.
